SPATIAL EXPERIENCE

Retailers are discovering the value of letting customers have a say in the creation of their own products. From shoe brands with online App service for colour selection and having studios with in-house designers assisting customers to create their coveted shoe design, to bottled jams allowing users to print personalized messages on their own bottle. Companies have discovered that customization allows their customer to feel engaged, stay longer hence increasing brand loyalty.

In collaboration with Avery Dennison (AD), we used the automobile as a medium to explore the processes of customization and personalisation through a series of User Experience (UX) tools to design an automotive experience centre based in Singapore.

As designing for spatial experiences happens in a physical space where there is an atmosphere, the atelier embarked on researching the application of UX in interior spaces, its effects on user experience thereafter choreographing the sensorial and experiential journey in the automotive experience centre.
